Ever since her mother died of cancer, thirteen-year-old Becky has been angry at the world in general and her dad in particular. Not only does he want to marry his new partner, he also wants to move in with her and her son. But the intrafamilial feuds take a backseat when four felons break into the house. Becky’s rage soon proves instrumental in this progressively bloody battle against the criminals. Ingenious directing duo Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion clearly had a blast making this comedic coming-of-age splatter fairy-tale with tragic undertones.

Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion met at Parsons School of Design, where they teamed up to run a cutting-edge animation, design, and advertising firm and began to explore filmmaking together. Their early collaborations pushed the boundaries of taste, technique, form, and humor. One of their first short films premiered at SXSW, which parlayed into feature filmmaking. Their directorial feature film debut, Cooties (SLASH 2015), starring Elijah Wood and Rainn Wilson, premiered at The Sundance Film Festival. Their latest film is Becky (2020), becoming the number one movie at the US box office.
