Bruce Lee remains the greatest martial arts icon of all time. But because of his Asian looks, Hollywood had only pegged him in supporting roles. It wasn’t until he returned to Hong Kong that he became a superstar—at first locally, then globally. Bao Nguyen’s emphatic, intelligent documentary, studded with rare archival footage, explores his fighting style’s extraordinary spiritual form, centered on his mantra Be Water. We listen to contemporaries, family members, and friends tell stories of the impact of this earth-shattering artist and key figure of the twentieth century
